My bad HB review

so um uh um. This review is going to be in the style of like. someone liveblogging a show theyre watching,, as in im going to watch one episode and then post my review, one by one until i get to the latest episode.

this review does not intend to be just another beatdown on vivziepop or any of the people working on HB. I intend to give genuine critique on this show, unlike many other reviews i have seen that just do the same "show bad the end" over and over. I belive that no matter how poorly you think something is written, it should be given an honest review that the creators could use to improve (although theres like a 0.0001 percent chance vivziepop or anyone working on HB sees this.) Keep in mind, though, that i am very much not a writer and tend to accidentally watch a lot of things with my brain turned off, so take this review with a grain of salt.

finally, before i actually begin this review, i would like to mention that i have watched this show before, but that was back in like 2023 and i binged the whole thing in the middle of the night with my brain half off, and the only information i really gathered was "woaghhh,,, animation purdy,,,,"

episode 1: Murder family

Overall, id say that was a solid first episode, it introduced the premise of a group of three demons basically working as hitmen for the people in hell, introduced Blitz as being a vulgar goofy jerk who doesnt really take stuff seriously, Moxie as a well meaning guy who is in a situation where hes kinda gotta learn to... well, work as a hitman, Loona as Blitz's emo teenage daughter, Millie as... Moxies wife? i wasnt really sure what her personality really was, but maybe i just wasnt paying attention, and Stolas as this freaky high class dude who seemingly only cares about his own pleasure. there were a few jokes that i liked, a few that didnt really land for me, but i feel like thats to be expected when watching a show. pretty good episode if i do say so myself.

episode 2: Loo loo land

personally, i liked this episode more than the first one, it seemed more "full," for lack of a better word. In it, we get to learn more about Stolas, that being that hes in a broken marriage with a woman he doesnt love and has an emo edgy daughter named Octavia, who he cares about, but tends to be neglectful towards, (fighting with his wife loud enough for Octavia to be able to hear from her bedroom and making sexual comments right infront of her.) Also, we (or maybe just i) get to know more about Millie! She seems to be a fun-loving girl who finds joy in weird, tacky, and/or scary things. (just like me fr) (i bet she would love furbies) the scene at the end where Stolas promises to care more about Octavia and not abandon her, (paralleling a scene in the begining of the episode, where Stolas comforts a much younger Octavia and promises to always be with her because she had a nightmare where he dissapeared) was quite sweet. Overall, a cool episode.
